To create a National Monitoring System of Poverty Indicators that will be used to coordinate and develop the data gathering, monitoring and analysis activities of indicators related to the Poverty Reduction Strategy. This system will transparently provide policy creators and the general public the updated information on progress in Poverty Reduction. It will be used to center political discussions on the agreed goals, to broadcast the accomplishment of agreed objectives, and when necessary, to identify the delayed areas and allow the correction or strengthening of policies that might not be generating the desired results. |
